'Love' of the Past
I am no longer at your bitter mercy. You have thrown me down to my knees to grovel before you, when there was nothing but empty promises. You have grabbed my heart from my chest and crushed it until I lost my breath, since I would not utter sweet nothings to your contentment. Everything was a lie, until I found out what love really was, and it was trapped within me for all these years, locked away from crude hands to devour. I am now enveloped in your true warmth, now keeping the fragile fire of life thriving within the place it calls home; its home of flesh and blood deep within my heart. Blood shall be split no more in your name, for that i
